The "Cultural Heritage Journey in The Footsteps of Our Roots Activity" for Gaziantep Sabahattin Zaim Social Sciences High School Students ve Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez Anatolian Imam Hatip High School was held on February 19, 2025 in Nurel Enver Taner Gaziantep Olgunlaşma Institution with the coordination of EU and International General Directorate, UNESCO Turkish National Commission, General Directorate of Secondary Education and General Directorate of Lifelong Learning.
The Provincial Director of National Education of Gaziantep, Erdal KILINÇ end the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Directorate General of Lifelong Learning, Ferhat DAVRAN, made the opening speeches of the event, organized with the aim of introducing our tangible and intangible cultural heritage to students and revealing the role of this heritage in our social identity. In the acitivity, UTMK representatives presented about tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Türkiye and then students participated in the workshops.
Students had the opportunity to closely contact with our cultural heritage by working in handicrafts, mosaic workshop, decorative handicrafts, ceramic workshop and cookery workshops.
