In his speech, Tekin said, 'Palestinian children are deprived of their right to education, as well as their basic rights and freedoms. I condemn Israel's human rights violations and the atrocities it commits against world peace.

Tekin highlighted that the most important revision was related to climate change issues, stating, 'We are eager to create a generation that is resilient, balanced, and protective of its environment.'

Stating that they have placed expressions in all textbooks to ensure that children protect the basic values and achievements that are the common heritage of humanity, Tekin said, 'We want our children to raise awareness and sensitivity about this issue.'

Tekin noted that children are taking lessons on climate, environment, and innovative solutions, and that disaster management and social resilience are also included in the curriculum.

Tekin emphasized that developing an educational strategy to support the transition to a green economy, creating green job opportunities, and enhancing workforce competence in environmentally conscious sectors are key components of the model they are striving to build. He added, 'I believe such activities will make significant contributions to issues such as nature, basic rights, and freedoms-fundamental elements of humanity's common heritage, for which we all bear responsibility towards future generations. We aim to contribute to this process.

In the meeting, Azerbaijan's Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, and the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Salim el-Malik, also attended.

Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to closely follow the developments and changes in the world in education-environment studies, as in every field, and to pioneer many developments for our children with our new initiatives."

Minister Tekin made statements to the press

Making statements to the press, Minister of National Education Tekin said that he was pleased that COP29 was held in the brotherly country Azerbaijan and that the organization was successfully carried out.
