Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, who was in Paris to attend the "Transforming Education Pre-Summit" and to make various contacts, attended the opening session of the summit as part of his program.

At the summit attended by education ministers and 50 deputy ministers from nearly 100 countries; Minister Özer accompanied by Deputy Ministers Petek Aşkar and Sadri Şensoy, MoNE Director General of EU and Foreign Relations Hasan Ünsal and UNESCO Permanent Representative of Turkey Gülnur Aybet.

Özer will also address the education ministers at the Round Table Session today.

TRANSFORMING EDUCATION SUMMIT

Being a member of the UNESCO Executive Board for the 2021-2025 period, Türkiye takes part in the decision-making mechanism regarding global education, science and cultural policies. In this context, efforts to transform education by 2030 will be discussed at the Transforming Education Summit.
