MINISTER ÖZER TO ATTEND THE EDUCATION WORLD FORUM IN LONDON

Mahmut Özer, Minister of National Education, will represent Türkiye at the Education World Forum, which will take place in London on May 22-25, this year, and will be attended by education ministers from over 100 countries.

Mahmut Özer, Minister of National Education, will hold talks within the framework of the forum where the difficulties and opportunities encountered in education will be evaluated. He will address ministers of education from more than 100 countries during the Ministerial Session, which will be held on May 24.

In his evaluation of the subject, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the Education World Forum offers educators the opportunity to evaluate the current situation and future of education together with other countries.

Mahmut Özer, Minister of National Education, stated that the forum's discussions will guide education policies for a better future, adding, "During the forum, we will share experiences with ministers from other countries. The COVID-19 epidemic, which we have been exposed to since 2020, has also caused a worldwide crisis in education systems. In addition to its negative impact on the physical, social, and emotional development of our children, the epidemic also damaged their academic lives. By addressing these effects in the forum, we will have the opportunity to evaluate and share experiences, especially those on learning losses and their compensation. In addition, we will tell other countries about the work and investments our country has made in the field of education, especially in the last 20 years, and the point we have reached in vocational education. "

Nine panels will be held within the scope of the forum, where general meetings with speakers from different parts of the world and special group meetings focusing on specific topics will be held. The panels will seek answers to questions such as "how to use resources more effectively, how to establish a stronger, more supportive and good education system". In the panels where digital equality, technological developments, and innovations will be discussed, countries will share their experiences with new and long-term problems.
