Nobel Prize winning scientist Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar will visit Ankara in February to participate in the opening ceremony of the education campus named after him. The campus including a Science and Arts Education Center (BİLSEM), a kindergarten, science high school and student dormitory was established in Ankara by the Ministry of National Education.

Aziz Sancar recalled that a number of education, research and health institutions are named after him in the last six years in Türkiye and Turkic world adding that,

"Aziz Sancar Education Campus which will be opened in Ankara soon is the biggest investment of all. As a scientist and a person who represents Türkiye in the western world, it is such a great honor. The campus indicates that Türkiye gives importance to education and science."

Scientists that will follow in the footsteps of Aziz Sancar will be educated in the new campus

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the Aziz Sancar Education Campus will also serve as an R&D center and scientists that will follow in the footsteps of Aziz Sancar will be educated in the new campus.
