Dr. Mariyam Maria, the Minister of Higher Education, Labor, and Skills Development of the Republic of Maldives, paid an official visit to Türkiye, where she met with Mr. Mehmet Bal, Deputy Director General of Vocational and Technical Education, under the coordination of our Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations. The meeting, held to strengthen educational cooperation and exchange views between the two countries, saw Dr. Mariyam Maria express her interest in learning about Türkiye's successful practices in vocational education, particularly in agricultural education. In this context, the Directorate General for Vocational and Technical Education delivered a presentation on the current state of vocational and technical education in Türkiye, the educational programs in place, successful practices, and agricultural high schools.

Both parties agreed on steps to further develop cooperation in the field of vocational and technical education, laying a strong foundation for future joint projects.
